Kemberlee is a native Northern Californian who was raised in a community dominated by well-known literary figures, such as John Steinbeck, Jack London, Dean Koontz, Robert Campbell, Robert Louis Stevenson, George Sterling, Robinson Jeffers, just to name a few. With so much literary influence, it's no wonder Kemberlee was writing as soon as she could hold a pen.

Kemberlee's first published work was "Mickey the Mouse," which was self-published in her 5th grade class using only the finest construction paper, original cover art and quality staples!

"Jack of all trades" has been applied to Kemberlee. She's worked a number of jobs in her life from seamstress to greenwear cleaner. She spent summers pumping gasoline in her family's station and gained ten pounds the first month she worked in a French bakery (the only month she worked in a food oriented business, it should be noted). She eventually found her niche working in the pet industry, earning herself a diploma in Pet Nutrition. But after suffering a job injury she moved into the hospitality trade with a diploma in hotel and motel management.

After taking stock of life during her mid-midlife crisis, Kemberlee took everything she'd learned so far in life and opened her own business as a travel consultant, first helping travellers visiting Northern California.

In 1997, Kemberlee couldn't pass up the trip of a lifetime and took the opportunity to spend six month on the Emerald Isle where she met a man who eventually became her husband. Upon moving to Ireland, Kemberlee shifted her work in travel consulting to Ireland and has built a reputation over the last eleven years as one of Ireland's foremost Irish travel experts.

Over the years, Kemberlee has penned a number of full-length novels. Since moving to Ireland, her love of the country has inspired a number of Ireland set stories, including Moondance and The Power of Love, which were both published by Highland Press in 2006.

Over the last eleven years in Ireland, Kemberlee has had the opportunity to study's Ireland's history and culture, and has even picked up a "cúpla focal"...a few Irish words, as they say. Because of her knowledge of Ireland, she has had the privilege of working with some top authors who have set their stories in Ireland, including Deb Stover for "Mulligan Stew" and "Mulligan Magic."

Kemberlee's literary interests have also extended to book reviewing. She's reviewed books since 1996, is a Charter Member of Reviewers' International Organization (RIO) and has worked as RIO President from 2001-2002 and 2006-present. She's also a member of the Central Coast Writer's Club, a chapter of the California Writer's Club, which was founded in 1909. Because of my literary affiliations and as a native of Carmel, the CCW has agreed to allow me the honorary distinction of being the only international member in the CWC, not just the CCW.

Kemberlee has lived in south Dublin, north Wicklow and Cork City, but now lives in a medieval market town in West Cork with her husband Peter and two "hairy kids," Daisie and Poppy.

Kemberlee looks forward to hearing from fans so drop her an email to let her know what you think of her stories.

Daisie
"Where's the sheep, man?!"

Daisie and Poppy overlooking Dunmanus Bay on the
Sheeps Head Peninsula...where else would sheep dogs be?!

Poppy
"Forget the sheep. Throw the #@%& ball already!"

"Look, Aunt Cheryl. I'm wearing your hat."

"If you really knew what was going through my mind,
you'd step away from that camera immediately!"

I'll take you home
